I was sure the 2 c.rubras I bought last year wouldn't survive but I checked today and to my surprise at least one of them is sprouting nicely. All of my longifolias are also doing well but I knew that (thanks to the forum ) they are resistant plants.

Cephalanthera rubra stirbt mit und ohne Dünger sehr schnell ab, wenn der Partnerpilz abstirbt. Viel Dünger tötet den Partnerpilz.

Die Partnerpilze existiert überwiegend auf lebenden Baumwurzeln.
Es handelt sich um eine ähnliche Partnerschaft wie bei Trüffeln. Bei Trüffeln sind es 2 Partner, bei Cephalanthera rubra sind es 3 Partner. 
Es scheint aber auch in Einzelfällen Partnerpilze zu existieren, die nur von Laub leben. Ob sie zum Samenkeimen ausreichen, ist unbekannt.

Attached a picture of the current growth, around 1 cm out of ground. Also attached an image from the last year from the flowering plant(s).
Let's see if I get any flowers this year as well or will the c.rubra stop existing. Will keep the updates coming.
