Ophrys isaura, maybe the rarest Ophrys in the world, grow along river stream in mix pines/oaks forest in very located areas in Akseki province and Gulnar (Turkey).

Dear Berthold,

It's a mix of marl ( carbonate calcium clay), perlite, pumice in different proportions (10,30,50% respectively). Final touch : bleech leaves and pine tree needles  on the top to retain the water and give some extra organic molecules.
A kind of mix you could find in it's habitats.
Ophrys isaura is definitely an atypical Ophrys with hygrophilous nature during autumn/winter/spring.

I'm currently propagating for albiflora (Ophrys) : phrygia, cilicica, hygrophila(endemic), isaura(endemic), lycia (endemic), climacis (endemic), lucis, calypsus, iricolor, aesculapii, blitopherta, fusca, straussi (endemic), lacaitae, kotschyi, marzuola, philippi (endemic),aveyronensis and many more..
- Orchis : mascula pinetorum, anatolica, punctulata from turkey, gallilea, pauciflora, provincialis.
- Himlantoglossum : montis-tauris, comperianum, caprinum, samariense.
- Anacamptis : sancta, longicornu, collina, fragrans, coriophora
- Platanthera : leucophae, psycodes, ciliaris, bifolia, chlorantha
- Chloraea : bletioides, magellanica, alaris, chrysantha, crispa, nudilabia, collicensis

isaura is growing with cilicica, straussii and hyrophila in secret locations near Kuyucak. You need to follow small water veins to find it
